A full time NETWORK TECHNICAL DESIGN ARCHITECT (Solution designer) is needed in Kosice, SLOVAKIA. The right candidate must thrive on working in a fast paced, highly dynamic environment where energy and enthusiasm is key, as the role forms part of an expert TELECOMMUNICATIONS PLANNING & DESIGN team of driven, dynamic individuals.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technical Implementation
    • Undertake activities within the planning / detailed design cycle to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
    • Develop designs and documentation for initial roll-outs, relocations, additions and changes.
    • Verify and approve client network design documents.
    • Assist Senior Network Technical Design Architects (NTDAs) and mentor junior NTDAs in the team with technical and implementation support.

 

  • Relationship Management
    • Respond effectively and courteously to all internal / external client requests.
    • Seek and collate internal feedback on performance.
    • Support customer project work at an appropriate level.

 

  • Communication
    • Keep team well informed of quality issues which may impact client satisfaction.
    • Liaise closely with all internal / external resources for implementation activities.
    • Effectively communicate project information to superiors.

 

MUST HAVES

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
  • Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP).
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) V3 certified.
  • Experence in the design, construction, and implementation of small to medium size LAN / WAN / WiFi solutions.
  • Knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) technologies in the context of vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Hauwai.
  • Knowledge Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP).
  • Knowledge of Open Shortest Path First (OSPF).
  • Knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
  • Knowledge of IP based Virtual Private Networks (IP VPN).
  • Knowledge of Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS).
  • Knowledge of Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) technology..
  • Knowledge of Frame Relay technology.
  • Knowledge of X.25.
  • Knowledge across all xDSL types.
  • Knowledge of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technologies.
  • Experience with Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN).
  • Knowledge of Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH).
  • Knowledge of Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplying (CWDM).
  • Knowledge of Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM).
  • Good understanding of global markets with respect to network design, in particular the United Kingdom (UK). 
  • Experience within a multinational company.
  • Excellent English language written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent skills in the clear presentation of technical information.
  • Culturally aware and understanding.
  • A team player.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Willingness to travel 10 to 25% of the time.

 

REMUNERATION

  • Base salary EUR 20,400 to 30,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
